On sending of a Soviet military delegation to the Syrian Arab Republic

Accept the proposal of the Ministry of Defense of sending a Soviet military delegation for 15 days in December of this year to Syrian Arab Republic. The delegation will consist of comrades Smirnov N.P. (head of the delegation), Bogdanov V.A., Semenchikov V.I., Metelev Y.A., Vishenski N.I., and Denisov I.S. Charge the cost of the trip to the Ministry of Defense.

On sending of a Soviet military delegation to the Syrian Arab Republic

According to the resolution of the CPSU Central Committee on Oct. 15, 1980 # P 219/49, the Ministry of Defense requests permission to send the Soviet military delegation consisting of comrades Smirnov N.P. (head of the delegation), Bogdanov V.A., Semenchikov V.I., Metelev Y.A., Vishenski N.I., and Denisov I.S. to Syrian Arab Republic for 15 days The goal is to examine on-site opportunities for further expansion of military cooperation with the Syrian Arabian Republic.

The trip is funded by the Ministry of Defense. Departure of the delegation is scheduled for December 15 this year.

We believe it’s possible to support the request of the Ministry of Defense for the trip of this group of the Soviet military specialists to Syria, considering their awareness of the information of top importance.
